Paul exhorts us not to despise prophecy, and although much of the today’s prophetic ministry is simply ‘fluff and hot air’, the real and genuine prophet points the church (back) towards God.
Many do not want to hear that they are on the wrong path or that the Lord has ‘moved on’, and thus the prophetic ministry is normally shunned in the church. Even worse is that genuine prophetic ministers simply prophecy ‘babies, blessings and business’ and stop short of pointing the church back to God through words of revelation, repentance, repositioning and repurposing. Our pray is that we might be true servants of God who speak the ‘now’ word of the Lord in truth and clarity, so that those who hear it might heed the call of the Lord.
